Incidentally, who's bright idea was it to basically remake all the Batman films?

Yeah, that's the thing I'm worried about. I've had a look at some of the other villains and they're all very comic-book/cartoonish. I like the Mafia aspect that they've had in the last two films - I think it's successful when they get the organised crime aspect and mix it with some raving mad lunatic that wants to kill everybody.
