I still remember playing DOS versions of a few games on an old 386 PC that my Dad brought home from work in the mid 90's, some F1 game, Aladdin, Lion King and the absolute classic that is Prince of Persia.

The only fairly recent games I play (read: absolutely suck at) are Age of Empires II: Conquerors and CounterStrike: Source. I'm tempted to give Age of Empires III another try at some point, I bought it on release-day, played it for a bit and went back to Age II.

In terms of console gaming, over the years we've had a SNES, MegaDrive, PS1 (the original grey one) and a PS2. By far the most memorable gaming was on the SNES and MegaDrive, and the best game for both PlayStations is beyond doubt Final Fantasy VII.

Btw, fans of FF7 behold:

... and that's using the PS3's in-game engine. It's not even an FMV ... :drool2: :drool2: :drool2:

Final Fantasy VII makes my life complete. I remember seeing that demo when it came out and being very excited at the thought of it being remade for PS3. Who knows if that's ever going to happen...

Final Fantasy VII is literally the best thing ever, I may have to indulge myself in it's wonderfulness again soon.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Oh god, that's what need to have a verbal toss-off about next time we meet, it would be wonderful. I love talking about Final Fantasy VII.

Great to see FF7 appreciated here, I wasnt too keen on advent children though, felt the story wasnt good enough, mind you I was pretty drunk at the time and watching it with subtitles.

All the games from 6 onwards are pretty amazing (I haven't played any of the earlier ones but I would love to eventually), each game is individual so there's no continuous story line.

Very little point unless you're going to download them for your PC. Otherwise you'd need to buy about six different consoles.

Just play Final Fantasies 5,6 & 7 and you're sorted.

I'd personally say 8,9 and 10 as well.
