just as an observation, i have been listening to art of partying and i have to say, im not really blown away as much as i thought i would be, i have seen municiple waste twice now, and both times its been..

'Hey we like to party'
'Hey we like to drink'
Hey we like to party'

.....'and drink'
and party and party and party and party.

listening to Hazardous Mutation and a few of the early ep demo stuff, municiple waste used to apply to different parts of my life, now, as a fan, it applys to one,....partying...gimmick. As a fan my loyalty has now dwindled.
I still love em, but just that little bit less.

It does seem that whole aspect is sort of overtaking the music...in terrorizer Ryan does say the whole party aspect is getting old for him but problem is people expect them to just drink beer and party...so they could burn out on that or change and risk losing fans....anyways if the music is still good then ill still listen, buy their stuff and go see em live

I can understand people getting tired of the party element, however the fact still remains Municipal Waste are a very good band with decent songs and if one of the members is already getting tired of it there bound to mix it up a bit next album.

I thought it was quite cynical of Earache to do that whole 'come and party with the Waste at the rock club which is closely affiliated with the venue after the show' thing again. I dont know about anyone else but i didnt think they looked that up for partying. Having read the article in terrorizer as well i just thought it was a bit wierd. I guess its good for business to have municipal waste tell everyone they're going there to party after the show. While it must seem really cool to hang out with them and do beer bongs etc., it must be strange for them to be expected to party with people they dont know at all every night while on tour, largely i suspect for the benefit of club owners and the label. Well thats just my take on it anyway. In a genre of music where so many of its greatest bands have been blighted by alcoholism and drug abuse, is this really a good idea? Im sure Municipal Waste would just tell me to shut up and have a beer bong though hahaha!

The whole 'partying' thing could definitely get old, I was thinking about that myself before, but at the moment I think it's fine. They've only done 3 albums, maybe they'll start taking a new direction with the next one. If they don't, I'll probably start to agree that it's getting a bit boring... but then again, if they carry on making great songs, that's fine.

About the whole after party thing... at the Mean Fiddler in London, they didn't seem in the mood for partying at all, Landphil didn't seem very approachable at all, he seemed quite and like he didn't want to talk to anyone, Dave was just talking to some people, no actually "partying" andTony seemed to be chasing some girl around. I don't even remember seeing Ryan, but I was pretty drunk.

I've never done a beer bong but I've been told by numberous people that they're kinda lame, perhaps they should start doing whiskey bongs, with Jager and absinth. WAGERSINTH!

"Concerning the partying aspect, it is getting pretty old for me. I've always been the songwriter and that's what I really love doing ... Every town we go to there's a group of people that want to party hard and they do not realise that we're doing this shit every night. After a while it starts to take its toll. It has gotten old."
