Lovely stuff, Live After Death indeed. Seems like a wonderful package, the only shame is lack of 7th Son/Somewhere In Time live footage. Maybe that'll come on another DVD with Maiden England, that was a brilliant live video, I hope they'll release that on DVD at some point.
Maiden finally announce History Part 2 DVD

Maiden rule.
AND YET -
This doesn't sound particularly amazing. Live After Death is pretty commonplace to find on video, and I don't know how much more I'd pay simply to make that already great video become more "alive".
Also, I already have Behind the Iron Curtain on video - it's alright, but only like 3 or 4 songs.
Why couldn't they have included the Donnington 88 footage, where they played the Seventh Son tracks and had the awesome icey stage.
The only thing I would buy this for is the next part of the History, which to be fair I can't see revealing many things I haven't already heard about. Fuck the 'photo galleries' and so on.
Ah well, I guess the fan boy in me will still buy it.

I'll be happy to have Live After Death on DVD, I don't have it on video. Although the 5.1 mix will probably be all wrong and incorrect because Kevin Shirley is an idiot and Steve Harris will come along and do something to ruin it because he thinks he's good. This particular release is covering 1984/5, so why would they want to include footage from 1988? I'm sure the Donnington 1988 show will see the light of day on the appropriate DVD set.
I will be buying this and furiously milking white love piss from the plucked chicken whilst watching it.

It's not going to be much of a history section then if it just covers one year!

The thing is, this.
Iron Maiden are idiots.
They did the first history thing, and said "yes indeed we're great, we're going to do this one on the first four albums, do a tour of songs just from these four albums, then countinue to do the same thing for the next four albums and so on and so forth." Then it comes to this tour, and they say "Yeah, we're just doing songs from the 80s, but there'll be like a pyramid and stuff and it'll just be like classic days yeah?" And now they've announced this DVD "It's just about Powerslave because we're so good". So basically, they're idiots. The second instalment of the History series was supposed to cover the next four albums, but because they're whores its now just covering this one and they'll release a separate DVD for seventh boys, the bastards.ds,ad ejkral89y8ayaer98t7e98t

If you don't like it, don't buy the thing, don't go and see them, it'll leave an extra ticket for someone who does. Me? I have everything crossed that one of the festival dates will be Reading like it was three years ago.

No, I do like it and I will buy the DVD and I will go and see them, I just think it's a shame that they haven't really done what they said they were going to do. But I suppose on the bright side, at least they're still doing a wonderful tour where we can find out what not to do if a bird shits on you.
