Football is a scottish thing ffs! The country runs on it! Come to glasgow on and old firm night an yel know wit i mean like! i disagree. IF we could make it to a big tourney i think we could cause a few teams a bit of a problem. we get ourselves into pish pots for the draws and is why we have to play out our box every time against top teams. Unlike england who seem to fanny about and when they score 3 against russia or whatever the miracle cure is found. Pish Like. Hopefully our results move us up from being 4th seeds or whatever in the pots.

Aye, I've got to agree with Keith. Just because Scottish Football is unwatchable filth, doesn't mean to say it's not a very Scottish thing. It's easily the most popular sport in Scotland although we're way better at Curling, Elephant Polo, Golf and Snooker.

It's that sort of comment that, more than pretty much anything else, breeds Anglophobia in Scotland. It's not that we have a chip on our shoulder because we're always the first to admit how shit we are, it's the constant delusions or greatness that exude from English Football:

- 'The Premier League is the best league in the world!'

- 'Can England win the World Cup?'

- '1966!!!!'

Believe it or not, it grows a bit tiresome if you're not English but have to put up with the likes of Gary Lineker, Ian Wright and that bastard Alan Hanson going on about England even though it's the World Cup and England aren't even playing on that day.

Iain forgot to mention that Scotland are the Homeless World Football Champions at the mo!!!

I mean, come on! England are hardly a serious threat in International Football either are they? Ok ok, they can just about muster up a draw against a team that is capable of winning the World Cup or European Championship but that counts for nothing when you've got an entire legion of bottlers in your squad to take spot kicks when it comes down to it.
