It didn't bode well that they had scheduled a January 07 release date for the film but withdrew it due to the incredibly piss poor reception it received at test screenings.

I read a review on Harry Knowles' Aint it Cool website recently and it seems they've gone down the unintentional comedy route.

1. A Magic rifle to kill zombies.
2. Zombies climbing walls/ceilings
3. Zombies driving cars
4. Bub, the dead soldier, is actually a really nice chap who won't eat his friends because... He's a vegetarian!

It is a remake, of course it is going to be total wank.

I've never got why Plan 9 From Outer Space or any or Ed Wood film gets as much stick as they do, just a guy who liked making movies doing the best he could with the resources he had. Plus anyone who got the whole cast of Plan 9 From Outer Space baptised so the Church would pay for the film is alright in my book
