Who is the fastest thrash band?

Postby Atom on Mon Oct 30, 2006 11:39 pm

Which band opens worm holes to the dungeon dimensions with their sheer sonic velocity?

Dark Angel come to mind firstly, they play at a stupid pace, too fast some might say... Not me though cos remember:

"Its never too fast to blast!"

Slayer too...

Thoughts?

Sadus?

Strangly enough Tom I was thinking about this yesterday, surely there must be some band that are really obscure but fast as fuck (I mean FAST) that only some peeps have heard of??

Slaughterlord - some of their stuff was approaching blastbeat territory.

Bathory - ditto.

Forbidden - I seem to remember some of the stuff off of their first record being at whiplash-inducing speed.

Fastest?

PAH!

In my experience, the fastest bands are usually the ones with the shittiest vocalists, lead players, riffs, production... basically shit. I love Thrash and expect some stupidly quick stuff from time to time but not when it compromises the quality of the songs, e.g. Pleasure to Kill instead of Annihilation Principle.

My favourite fast Thrash bands are probably Dark Angel, Sepultura and Sadus.

Razor

listen to their Shotgun Justice Album!!!!! The FASTEST!!!

Flames from Greece

Sometime, I think they are TOO FAST for their own good!
They sounds like a Faster Version of Kreator [remember faster not = better]
they make Pleasure To Kill sounds like Stoner Rock!

Lots of FAST Thrash out there
I can list some more

but that two above is really SO FUCKING FAST!!!
