I'm hoping to go to the Sabbat gig next month, but I've never been to Ivory Blacks and don't know if the gig will finish in time for the last train to Edinburgh (1130) Anyone ever been there and could shed any light?
Not seen them since they played Edinburgh Venue in 1987 or so and have tickets for November's gig with Arch Enemy, but really want to see this headline show as well.

Didn't know they'd come off the Arch Enemy tour - Nightmare! That was why I bought the ticket. The last train from Glasgow to Edinburgh is 1130 and I've caught it many times, my query was about the usual finish time at Ivory Blacks. As it happens I emailed them and got a reply saying they have no curfew, but the gig should be over about 1130. Looks only a 10 minute walk to Queen Street station, so should see most of the gig.

I'd highly doubt it'll go on till after 11.
If it's over 18s, then it'll be about 11, because Sabbat is on a weekday, isn't it? If it's unders, then it's a 10 curfew. Also, Ivory Blacks is literally across the road from Central Station, so you should be alright for trains! I know for a fact there's a quarter past 11 one, because I get that home to Uddingston.
You'll find there's a shiteload of gigs there, as the main promoter for metal gigs owns the venue!

I was at ivory blacks a while back to see vader and they did have a curfew then as the gig was over by about 10pm, that was maybe about feb/march time

Well, you would have thunked that but when me and some mates went to see Death Angel at Ivory Blacks a couple of years back Death Angel didn't come on until about 11pm and finished about 00:30 and that was a midweek gig. Luckily, my friend had taken his car through to that one otherwise we would have had to miss DA. Saying that, we should have guessed as there was about 4 support bands!!! There are only 2 listed for Sabbat so hopefully that means a 10:30/11pm finish.

That was all your fault! I normally don't go over my one Shagger Landy per gig
