The thing is, I am pro-Britain and pro-monarchy. I just think it could be done in a way more receptive to the Scots. I mean, the Union of the Crowns was foreseen by James VI of Scotland. I'm more than happy to see the UK continue as a sovereign state.

I cant think why anyone would be pro monarchy. They're a bunch of inbred morons.

Well, I don't know why people are so against the Monarchy. If we did away with it we'd probably just go semi-presidential and have what countries like France and Russia have - a public figurehead in a President and a PM who is largely confined to Parliament.

Constitutionally, there's nothing to stop the Monarchy from assuming greater powers. The only reason the PM gained such powers in the first instance was that we had a King who didn't speak English (some German bloke).

I'm always surprised by the number of countries that actually have monarchies, countries I'd never thought of as having royal families.

It's a shit anthem, it's so bloody boring. But saying that, I feel absolutely no patriotism whatsoever towards this country, so I couldn't give a toss what the national anthem is. Unless they change it to what is love, then maybe I will.

Either that or just a really long list of agressive slurs to all other nations.
