Well to be perfectly honest, they're the only German thrash bands that I know

Minotaur? Deathrow? Desaster? Nocturnal? Torment? Assassin? Darkness? Violent Force?

I feel sorry for you if you think the bands you mantioned are the only German thrash bands worth mentioning... admittedly I haven't heard ALL these bands but the ones I have heard are top quality or have a good reputation.

I've heard some stuff from Torment and Deathrow, didn't know they were German. My bad

If I could only listen to English bands for the rest of my life I'd be quite happy! Sorry, that just occurred to me.

Here for you english mates i have some great upcomming german bands you should listen to a few times:

Old: At the moment their singer screams for Nocturnal they released one Album in 2006. But in autumn / winter 2008 they'll be in the studio recording another one.

Blizzard: Not quite a thrash band, but damn cool anyway. After they released a LP and an EP (both only avilable on VINYL) they split up.... what a shame. The LP is still available at undercover-records.de ....buy or die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ketzer: None of these boys is older than 19ys they play a mix of Black and Thrash Metal. Only released a Demo yet. Pretty amazing i think, because they sound fucking great

Witching Hour: Its the same with this guys as with Ketzer theire all younger than 18 but make a whole lotta noise. Theres only one difference between those Bands Witching Hour has allready got a record deal with undercover records!!!!!

DESASTER: Last but not least, they're my favourite german Black/ Thrash band. They started in 89 with grim Black Metal, after a while more and more Thrash came into their music. There is no record i would not recommend you, cause theyre all great in theri special way. But my faves are "Hellfires Dominion" and " Satans Soliders Syndicate". If you ever have the chance to see these guys live, take it you wont regret!! Those mates are extremly energetic on Stage and they still keep the contact to their fans!
