Just bought the new album properly today. Limited edition, it says. Well, apart from the natty new artwork underneath the "false" artwork shown already there really wasn't anything to deem it "limited".
Until you get to the end of the final track.
Nine and a half minutes (why that long?!) of nothingness later, you get the sound of banjos. Banjos quickly joined by a redneck-sounding voice singing...

Bonded by Blood.
Quite strange.

Best song on the album

Seriously though, I totally slated the new one a couple of weeks ago when i listened to the stream on the Exo myspace. After listening to the actual cd a few more times it actually isn't that bad. If it was by a new band i would probably have been blown away, but i know what i expect from Exodus and this doesn't tick all the boxes.

I concur to a lesser extent:

I don't mind Riot Act, Funeral Hymn or Children of a Worthless God. No chance I'm paying for the album though.

When did you actually pay for an album recently? I thought you had as poor a record as Scoob when it came to actually purchasing music??!!

I've bought every Exodus album until now, even in more medium than one!

Hence why I have a copy of SHKM signed by the band (except Fat Boy Dukes).

after few listen
it aint as terrible as you guys said
I hope some of you try to listen to it one more time
give it a little chance before you believe Exodus is totally fucked up

it's a Decent new exodus release for me
I prefer Tempo and SHKM but the new album is okay!

Funeral Hymm, Bedlam 123, Riot Act
are some ruthless song like those from SHKM

The chorus of Children of a worthless god
well, aint a big deal to me,
the song is pretty cool anyway,

as it was, as it soon shall be is like
another groove thrash like
Sealed with a Fist, blacklist and Shroud of Urine from Tempo,
Rob Dukes even do some clean voice. [try to sounds more like Zetro]
this one is almost a copy of old songs,
but it's nice

anyway, here's some bad things,
I think some songs dont really necessary to play too long,
like Children, Iconoclasm

the 10mins long title song is waste of time,
the first few riffs ae simply BAD,
and the whole song is pretty bad,
only have a nice riff on around 7:00 after solo

Garden of Bleeding, the main riff is not good enough,
quite a filler but it still worth few listens I think....

the new album got 7 out of 10 for me,
If you like tempo and SHKM,
the new one is nice for you

if you dont like any new exodus stuff
just ignore it, it wont surprise u
it'll only give you one more reason to hate new Exodus or Rob Dukes

It's Rob Dukes that spoils it for me. Zetro screamed a lot on Tempo but he had that Bon Scott twang that sort of made it cool. I think there's a bit too much fannying about, e.g. the intro to the album and to Bedlam 1 - 2 - 3.

Bedlam 1-2-3 is actually starting to do my head in!!! I hate tracks that make me get my mp3 player out and press the skip track button because of 10 minutes of silence
