Re: Naughty Policeman
I have no problem with battering protesters over the head when they're causing trouble or being abusive to the police, because most of them deserve it. However, in this case, a man with his hands in his pockets was pushed over from behind. That's the actions of a thug in a cop's outfit and shouldn't be tolerated at all. That said, I think the copper should be charged with assault.

This is essentialy one of the reasons i decided to not be a cop because i have been known to rage a little too easily and often. But yea i wouldnt take that shit.
Povey thats rather interesting tale!! Please tell more!!
And i agree i would rather have a rough police force, that protect a majority of citizens but have to use force to try and control some pricks who have gone down to do nothing but cause havok and trouble, then no police force.

Or you could leave jokes like that for your spare time and not bring them to the workplace...

Re: Naughty Policeman
to protest effectively you should riot.a "peaceful" protest defeats its own purpose.the 2 words peaceful and protest dont even go together.
anyway,to police effectively youve gotta bust some heads etc.
unfortunately this man was innocent and i think the copper was a cunt.
however,i bet all the protesters are gonna back down since this incident coz it goes to show that the police and government can do what the fuck they want and will continue to do so.
i bet the cctv footage was "unclear" as to what officer it was who pushed the guy or "couldnt see his face as he had riot gear on".
even if they do charge him,he wont get done for manslaughter he will just be banned from having doughnuts for a month or put on traffic duty for 2 weeks.
maybe the protesters should stop being timewasters and mask themselves up and gather petrol bombs/weapons etc and show the police they mean business rather than stand around with placards and facepaint being all "civil" about it.
anyway,i think protesting is a waste of time unless theres looting involved.

I don't mind protests, but they're usually just an excuse for hippies to cunt about with their dreadlocks and unclean clothes.

Re: Naughty Policeman
Riot Police never have any badge number/indentifier etc on..
For there own safety its pretty easy to get a badge number find out who the officer is by name then look into a A-Z/Phonebook and find out where they may live.
I still stand by my call. I dont condone what happened but the person who died you can tell from his body language he was mocking the officers and just asking for trouble (hands in pocket, walking at a sarcastic pace), and one officer pushed him it happens espically after a whole day of what they had been doing with there adreneline all pumped up.
You know *push* move along nothing to see here

Sarcastic walking, does raise an interesting point about none of them being identifiable though. I remember at work i once saw a large group of armed police in plain clothes and body armour, the armour didn't even have "Police" written on it.
Something tells me that 20 odd blokes shouldn't be allowed to walk about with assault rifles at an airport with nothing to show who they are besides a 5'*3' ID badge.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.
Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Exactley I mean to me its like waving a red jumper infront of a Bull.
For all you know a different officer could of ask the guy could he move along for his own safety and he decided that walking around the officers was the 'smart' thing to do to be a 'rebel' and how they fought the law.
I've had someone just light up a fag in the middle of a stop and search, its disrespectful, I politely asked they not do it as I wanted just to call them in and let them on there way and they blew the smoke in my face.
As a ex officer I always fear getting stopped because I know what bastards they can be.
The new uniforms for the MET are to help to blend in more I think, Im not sure tho just like how there are'nt any white cruisers on the road anymore only silver ones.
A bit of common sense goes a far way if someone has a gun or a knife your going to avoid them so why not a officer in full roit gear/ or more famously a police dog handler (people always seem to get the idea with that one).
I mean you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time but use common sense.

Exactly this. Except, he probably killed the bloke, so more than assault if it can be proven.

Sarcastic walking? Yeah, that deserves a baton shot to the legs then a shove that later results in death.
