I had long hair down to my tits for quite a few years, and have experienced many differant lengths ranging from gay, to Cousin It.
Had it cut a little over a year ago, I think it's more practical in loads of ways and I got completely over it in a couple of days (even though I neglected to realise how shite it looked)

Just remember that it'll look incredibly stupid the first time you get it cut, but after a lot of poncing about with it, it'll probably be socially acceptable in a couple of months.

If I were you, I'd just shave your head, I did it a little over a month ago and it's a pretty foolproof, non-stupid looking thing to do, which is insanely practical apart from the cold factor. I do look like a fucking yob sometimes though, but that's the fun of it really.

Oh, and sell your fuckin hair, if it's in ok condition you could get minted (or at least rich enough for a good wrecker)

Guys who have lovely long hair shouldn't be allowed to cut it, full stop. The only circumstances you should cut your hair under is if you're thinning/balding, or you have to do it to get a job, and even then I frown on the last one.

I'm glad I'm not the only girl on here that loves long hair!

lol that sounds so similar to what happened with me, i had a skinhead/short hair for all my life until i decided to grow it about a year and a half ago, my hair loves to grow out and doesn't like to grow down at all, its really thick now though so i do enjoy headbanging with it so much more than when i had short hair.

i do sometimes consider shaving it off again,washing and drying my hair is a pain but overall i think i prefer having long hair, i never enjoyed not being able to headbang properly back when i had a skinhead.

Ah, ladies, step right this way! Cherlotte, you're pretty much right, the only reason you should cut it short for work is if you're deperate for a job. Or possibly if you work in the catering industry, or with heavy machinery.

There seems to be an epidemic of hair cutting going on in Birmingham. It's very distressing.
