The fact it had anything to do with Use Your Illusion II makes it great.

I love soundtracks I do.

Thomas Newman is a goodun. A lot of his scores sound very similar indeed, but The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and Road To Perdition in particular are very lovely indeed.

Of course The Lord of the Rings is one of the best soundtracks ever composed. A lot of variety and so much going on in a lot of the pieces, especially in ROTK.

The Pan's Labyrinth and Children of Men soundtracks are also of notable amazingness, as are the films themselves.

However, we all know that the Team America soundtrack is the greatest of them all.

Oh yes and everyone's already said how great John Williams is, but I find the soundtrack to Episode III particularly amazing, especially the 'Battle of the Heroes' music for the Obi-Wan and Anakin battle, it really is truly epic indeed. And Schindler's List, bloomin' hell that's amazing.

Haha indeed, it's the Final Fantasy XII soundtrack. I used to have it all in Japanese, but I finally downloaded a version with the track names in English, so now I can listen to the amazing tracks that I want rather than just guessing. However, it still seems to come up in Last fm in Japanese, which is humorous. The soundtrack to that is bloody brilliant.

No, the XII soundtrack, not the X one. Although that is very good as well.

Not really into full film scores that much but my favourite film themes of all time are The Godfather and the theme to Starman.

Oh and let us not forget this one, as it makes it into my favourite list of everything. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Oh it is, it is! The best since 7 I reckon. The story isn't as complex as usual, but it is a decent story, and everything else about the game - eg. music, graphics, level design, gameplay, battle system - is a big improvement over 10. The only shame is that the characters aren't very interesting, apart from Basch, who is a brilliant man beast much in the vein of Auron and such. And even though the main character is a bit camp, he isn't a hideously annoying idiot like Tidus was.

The Truman Show, yes that has a great soundtrack.
