What. The. Fuck. happened to it?!

SFSGSW is one of my favourite Megadeth albums but Mustaine seems to have taken it into a darkened room, repeatedly raped it and then released it as an "improved" version. It's a fucking joke.
Horns and trumpets on Set the world afire? comedy ghost "woooooooo" moments in Mary Jane? A short, but totally pointless, acoustic intro to In My Darkest Hour?

I can't listen to this album now. I'm taking it back and keeping my original, unraped version. I haven't listened to any of the other remasters and now I'm actually afraid to.

I have the raped version also. It annoyed me. When Dave remastered the albums he was a dick be changing parts around and adding bits in.

Acoustic intros are pretty, back the shit off.

I disagre. i think the remaster of peace sells and SFSGSW were way over due.The peace sells remaster is one of the best ive ever herd ( up there with doomsday). Fair enough the lungs of hell and in my darkest hour intros should have been left alone, but the drums and solos sound way better.Def get peace sells tho.

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY the rust in peace remaster.Dave added loads of shite vox.

Yes, it is fucking awful.

Infact, I do remember there being some good parts to it. I think it might have been the original mixes that were axed. The cuts were all wrong but the mixes were great. I think they made Mary Jane a little bit clearer too.

It's nowhere near as bad as the Rust In Peace Youthanasia remixes either. The Peace Sells one was actually surprisingly good.

In summation, thank Christ I have all the originals... except Risk, but I don't want that anyway.

I think it's because the some of the reels were lost or something. He turned Take No Prisoners from a tits songs to a joke.

Seeing as it's getting a general thumbs up, I'll give the Peace Sells remaster a go then.
