joey is amasing, had to vote for him, hetfield second, mustaine third, tom's fourth but he's quality, without him slayer would be run of the mill in my opinion.

I've got to say Mustaine 'cause he's just my favourite front man and I love his delivery, but Joey 'Beautiful Woman' is a close second. Watching Anthrax back to the classic line-up at 'gods of metal in 2005 was awesome! I love Hetfield's voice, I still think he sings great, I tend to think his font-man-ness-ality has gone down hill a bit. Just reminds me of someone's Dad a bit too much. I've never liked Slayer's vocals at all, just sounds like they're trying to fit too many words into one line if you ask me. Zero melody.

^^^^^

 True about Slayer, but it's fuckin intense so the vocals fit perfectly, same with all the big 4, perfect vocalists for the 'best' thrash bands!

I just realised that for me there is so little contest between the big 4. Slayer just rape the others for me.

Yeah but that's enough about their sexual orientation, what about the music?

It's funny that not a lot of people on here are into Araya's style, considering they all rip it off...

Well as someone who has never been the singer of a group, or been in one with that kind of singer, I can honestly say I've never ripped it off. I just don't like it, straight and simple.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't having a go at you personally, because I didn't even know if you played an instrument or sung in a band like. It just reminded me that a fair few times people on here have said they're more into the likes of Mustaine and Hetfield, then when I listen to their bands it sounds like a posh English gentleman has some how ended up in a Thrash band and decided to rip off Tom Araya.

 That would sound quite cool actually! Or at least funny. I agree often guys are really into the same sort of bands, or more specifically vocalists, as me and then you listen to the band and they've gone in completely the other direction with it. Like growling 'n' shouting 'n' shit make sit some how more modern.

But yeah, Araya's just not my bag man. I always thought slayer had some killer riffs (although to my own personal tastes, still not the best) but were let down by the lack of a song. And also the bizarre solos which I also don't really get.

I guess it's just what you like. If you're just into pure heaviness/aggression than Slayer is about as good as you can get, but I kind of like a bit more than that.

I could give you a BIG list of Thrash bands in the UK that sing like this.

...But I won't.

Tom for sure, probably seeing as i've never been into Anthrax, Hetfield kinda deteriorated over the years, now he's almost growling, Mustaine just sounds too girly, but Tom was menacing, is menacing and probably will die menacing.

What's not to get? Kerry is simply emulating the sound of goat orgasms. It's all part of the satanic imagery.

No way man. Mustaine used to sound like an angry fucker with his high pitched shreak. It goes incredibly well with the music. The fact that he's not technically a good singer made albums like KIMB all the better. Pure rage.
