But I agree with you. Half of my relatives live in various places of England and 'Up North' so I'm used to having to speak clear, unbroken English as well as having to having to dumb down my Fife accent and vocabularly for the benefit of my Glaswegian friends.

I remember when Lee Altus and Heathen were hanging out with us, they had a lot of difficulty understanding us. It's hard to know if you really have an accent or not though. Compared to a lot of people I went to school with, I sound posh but I have to repeat myself time and time again to Brummies and such like.

Trust me the Essex accent is far far worse, especially on women. *shudder* Well at least it is to my ears. I seriously hope i don't speak with it, so seriously nasal and shrill. Makes me feel ill thinking about it.

Flooding sucks, lucky it's SOUTHERN here and not flooded!

Plus I live on a hill so fucking bring it on weather!!!!!

I agree with Dian Wei, Essex accents are the worst, but close second is the Scottish accent NEDs speak with, urgh :wall:

Neds in every part of the country emulate their Glaswegian brethren for some inexplicable reason. Glaswegian accents are generally fucking rotten as it is but they're especially bad in children.
