LORD - Aussie Power Metal (no, really, its good...)

Postby Craig on Sun Oct 07, 2007 2:58 am

I doubt if anybody have heard of them, they're an Australian band that has succeeded Dungeon's split in 2005.

Though they're billed as "power metal", they're more melodic than most power metal bands, the riffs are pretty solid and they do have some damn catchy choruses.

Just torrented their latest album, called Ascendence (don't all shout at me for being a stingy bastard - I'm ordering it from their online store in the next few days :P).

As a taster, here's a couple of my favourite tracks from the album - catchy as hell but somehow sooo good (or at least I think so):

Reborn
Going Down

For you are wrong sir.

Quite like Dungeon, Lord sound alright as well. But when it comes to Aussie metal, I fucking love Vanishing Point, my all time favourite band!

Pegazus - One of the funniest bands in metal. Even if they don't want to be.
