Rammstein Yes or no?

Postby Immortalicide on Tue Aug 28, 2007 8:05 pm

Just been listening to a bit of Rammstein, and i know they are a bit of a love/hate band with a lot of poeple. I for one think a bit of their gutteral german warbling and semi-industrial bludgeoning riffage is bloody lovely. What about the rest of you????

My mate introduced me to them a few years ago. Some of it is complete bollocks, but some of it is fantastic.I have the Mutter cd along with Reisse Reisse(or however you spell it) and that one with the ship in the ice.
"Thorn wishes aegis,rapturous beasts below"
"Aegis arising,the colours of space"

we fall to rise

The only fun i had with that band was translating the lyrics into bad english and links 234.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Never been into them, hearing the song "Ich Will" on a Kerrang CD about 5 years ago wasn't exactly a draw...

I love them, been a fan for a fair few years now. Seeman is hillarious, firstly because of the title, and secondly because it sounds like he's singing "cum in my boot".

Nein!

Actually, they do have a couple of cool songs but then so do The Stone Roses.

Fantastic band with some hilarious lyrics/themes.
Kiss Me Furryfrog?
Zwitter? (Hermaphrodite)

And the best lyric from a German band ever...
"We're all living in Amerika. Coca Cola, sometimes war..."

Also, they are utterly brilliant live. You don't go to a Rammers gig to mosh or go mental, you just stand there awestruck.
What. A. Band.

I don't dislike them at all. I don't like them that much either, but the Mutter album provided me with some great fun when I was at school, and I still listen to it every now and again for nostalgic value. It is a pretty entertaining album, and I do actually quite enjoy them sometimes. Not really my thing, but quite fun. I'd love to see them live though, I've heard about all their madness.
