Am I the only person who thinks Terrorizer is shit too? It's like pseuds corner in some of the fucking reviews, and they always arselick "experimental" bands. It's a mag for art students with pierced cocks who want to be taken seriously.

I agree some of the reviews are pretty shit, but I've discovered quite a few cool bands thanks to them

Best Band On The Planet - MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
Best British Band - LOSTPROPHETS

Best Single - BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE ("Tears Don't Fall")
Best Video - FALL OUT BOY ("Sugar, We're Going Down")
Best British Newcomer - BRING ME THE HORIZON
Best International Newcomer - AIDEN
Classic Songwriter - PLACEBO
Spirit Of Independence - PRODIGY
Kerrang! Hall Of Fame - SLAYER
Kerrang! Legend - Angus Young (AC/DC)

What exactly is a Spirit Of Independence award? Have Placebo ever written one classic song? Fair enough on the Slayer and Angus awards but it's a big 'oh dear' all round for the rest.

The thing is that was all voted for by the public but the candidates were probably all the same lame fag ass kind of bands (apart from Angus and Slayer). :wall:

Kerrang is just seen mag has always jumped on what is cool at the time, and it seems to be the emo crap. That is why most decent people here read ZT or Terrorizer

I cant believe some people here are still looking at the mag.

i haven't read kerrang since before i hit puberty..... :eyes: to be honest its been bollox for as long as i care to remember. I think ZT is the best "metal" mag these days. i find terrorizer a bit of a hit and miss, some issues are great others not so. Will defo be getting the march issue tho

I used to read Kerrang way back when it was good in the 80s, but since the 1990s...................................................Kerrang ignoring metal since the 90s. That should be slogan for them to use on their magazine cover!!

I have recently purchased all the missing copies from my collection of the first 600 kerrrangs, and when you look through, even in the mid 80s they had a lot of shit in them. Gary Glitter, kate bush, dire straits, big cuntry, duran duran, etc were stable fodder amongst the metal, and to be honest, re-reading many of the reviews now as an adult, a lot of what is said is total bollox and some of the regular writers were pretty awful journalists too (xavier russell anyone??)
