Decided to download the album for Guitar Hero 3 so I could get a listen. Have to say it is a cracking album. Can't see where the AJFA comparisons are coming from though. The heavier songs sound like the heavier bits on the Black album. Only song I am not liking at the moment is the Unforgiven 3 and I am still not sure about Suicide and Redemption.

Still not heard any solos properly cos I keep fucking them up

all the songs have been on youtube seperately for over a week now, try listening to them there.............

That is no match for playing along to the songs with a wee plastic toy guitar. I is Jaymz!!!!

I think the ... AJFA comparisons come in because there's a riff quite similar to one from the Shortest Straw on there. You're not missing much with the solos. Kirk tried his best but he's just not that great.

And Unforgiven III is the best, you clod.

At least it's not based on a Pearl Jam song as is End of the Line.

Basing their song on Pearl Jam is the best idea Metallica have had in years.

Yes, but the Pearl Jam song they're stealing is better than the one they did. They should just give up and become a Pearl Jam tribute band. Kirk Hammett is almost as awful as Mike McCready and everything!

A few years of watching underground bands in Glasgow struggle to sell more than a handful of tickets for a gig has turned me against the idea of being in a band ever again... unless it were a Scorpions tribute band and we could all wear wigs.

I never said anything about playing second rate thrash or metalcore.

I am ok with wigs. Can't do a very good German accent though.

That's fine because the Scorpions do American accents. If you really need to convince people you are German just pronounce W as V, eat sausages more often and get upset when people 'Mention zie var'.
