In my experience songs about war seldom come off and, personally, I'd rather read stuff that was written by the people who fought in them or by experts on the subject. That song is better than any Metal song, be it Thrash or otherwise, that uses lyrics based on war. And at least Kiss know how not to be door bastards all the time:
