As for other great game music not mentioned, I always thought Goldeneye for the N64 had some awesome tunes. Theres an old game for the SNES called ''United Squadron'' which has amazing music also, oh and Tomb Raider had some great music also.

Yeah, most of the songs are basically ripped from metal songs. It's awesome though, E1M1 is best.

Lets not make this a topic about video game metal, it is pretty much the worst genre ever created.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I have been listening to so much video game music recently, including these hits:

Vampire Killer - Castlevania
Keep Moving - Robo Warrior
Stage 1 - Bad Dudes

So amazing.

Anyone ever hear of these guys, they're called "Press Play On Tape", they do cover's of different game themes from computers and comsoles.

Here is one of them covering one of my favourites from the Commodore 64:

Monty On The Run (Check out the Violin solo at 4:44, fucking BRILLIANT)

You can see/hear more of their covers at http://www.pressplayontape.com

Fucking brilliant stuff!!!

The doom vid was awesome.
Behind the Crooked Cross by Slayer, the Pantera ones and the Alice in Chains ones were the most blatantly copied ones.
Cool.
