Guitar Rising is a music video game where the player plays a real guitar as cued by the game’s visuals. Following rock music sequences and streaming notes, players play guitar melodies and rhythms. Beginner difficulty levels are designed for non-guitar players and hard difficulties will challenge experienced guitarists.

I think you plug a real guitar into it as it even has a tuning facility and ways to slow it down to build your finger speed, sounds a top way for people to learn stuff (bad for the soon-to-be new wave of shitty Myspcae bands though).

It's about time they did something like this. I can only hope the difficulties aren't like in guitar hero where all the notes are removed. Did anyone else notice the lack of chords in the video though? Plus there doesn't seem to be any note length information.
