Got The Awakening today, more hardcore than I thought it would be. What do you lot reckon?

Yeah the Awakening is more of a hardcore album, although it definitely has Slayer-ish aspirations in the old riffing department. It's got an insanely over-wrought zombie story in the sleeve centre pages, which I recall rambling a lot and getting a bit arsey, but it's a cool album. Not thrash, as it were.

On the whole, definitely thrash. Especially Hallowed and The Heathen. Their last ever gig was a blast and B'Hellmouth kept going on about Thrash. So....

Yeah they are definately Thrash!!
They have some great hardcore influences and even more hardcore sounding songs, but on the whole i'd say they are Thrash. i think their classic ZombieCrew is a perfect example, Thrash but with some nice hardcore styleee choruses and gang chants.
Great band, i will really miss them! Just glad i saw their last show!

I didn't know they'd split. Strange that...

Metal Archives says "80's Thrash with hardcore/speedcore elements" so that is good enough for me!

Subtle, but true I guess!

All day? Ouch! At Terrorizer we often review albums without even putting them into our CD players. Actually that's a lie, that's the Kerrang! method.
