Anniversary Picnic @ Hyde Park - March 21st

Postby James on Fri Feb 20, 2009 3:04 pm

On March 22nd UK Thrash is 3 years old! This is a perfect excuse to nibble ham sandwiches and sip summer fruits cordial beneath the shade of London's leafy haven, Hyde Park.

We are going to meet on Saturday 21st (easier for most people to attend), probably from about midday. It will be as idyllic as the above description except that the nibbles will more probably be Nettos Haribo and foil-wrapped Spice Boys, and we will more likely be sipping barrel-sized cans of Polish lager.

Let's try to get as many people down as possible, the weather will be nicer by then at our park meet ups are always fun chilled out chat sessions, to a soundtrack of the heavy metal greats.

We will aim to meet at the same place as last year's Mercyful Summer Fate event, under a group of trees... near a path. Pretty hard to give directions, but exchange contact details if you plan to turn up, and we will all get there successfully (even Zurab).

Looking forward to it!

I'm very much looking forward to another day of Hyde Park fun. Rik, bring some Spice Boys for us all to sample!

There's no way i'd want to attend this... it sounds like the sort of even jon will go to, and i'm not to be associated with his "type" anymore.

Enjoy all the ham and shit, but i'm not playing this little game thanks very much.

Sorry everyone, but the screams of Rob Halford scrambled Jamie's brain a bit last night. He didn't mean what he just said, please don't worry.

Don't be worried, just be utterly depressed that you didn't see Judas Priest last night.

I'm more annoyed that I missed Testament and Megadeth.

So there.

Testament's sound was pretty rubbish, and Megadeth were boring.

So there.

Megadeth were immense! You can see Testament in a few weeks playing the first 2 albums!!! That's gonna be un-be-leave-a-bubble!!!!

I'll be here! (Hyde Park).

Not a bad idea, I might actually be up for something like this.
