Probably because of expectancy levels. After Face of Despair, I was expecting another great album like that and was very disppointed in EDHID. However, because I said it was rubbish, you ended up being pleasantly surprised.
Sometimes you can just pick the wrong time to listen to an album.

I tried before,
when a album dont sounds what I expect,
even it's quite good, I'll feel it's crap,

but some of them after few years later I revisit them,
I found some of them not really that bad and even quite good

so bro, maybe u should play your EDHID later again!

I dont know how it dissapointed u cos I havent have a chance to heard Face Of Despair
