Just wondering if anyone on here readers comics every month or regularly? Never thought of asking.... or if you dont read monthly does anyone have any favourites?
I currently pick up quite a few titles monthly, 9 or 10 i would say... my fav def being The Walking Dead (which is just an amazing series so far) and The Amazing Spiderman (which i love). I usually pick up most of the marvel big things and anything on Image that looks interesting!
I think fav series from recent times however has to be Preacher! I currently am now only 4 issues away from owning the full collection in singles which is wicked. Such an awesome series, i really hope if it does get picked up by a movie company of HBO or whatever they do it justice...just as i hope they do Walking Dead right when that Airs on TV...they best not fuck it up!
So lets hear it! Any comic geeks on here?

Re: Comics
The main books that i read are:
Hellblazer (Constantine) as those books are well written, very adult in theme and shows how you can like a character who is pretty much a right dick.
Hellboy/BPRD these books combine the awe of the super hero with the horror of H.P Lovecraft with good stories and well thought out characters
Ultimate Spider-man, i started collecting this from the start. I really enjoyed the fresh re-telling of Peter Parker and a lot of the "Ultimate" universe. Sort of reminds me of the 90's cartoon show where they did their own thing so that you didn't just have to accept a character or go to older issues. Not as classic as the original but a good starting point. Though they have done a lot of messing around with the ultimate universe recently.
Batman, i don't really collect the issue but i get the graphic novels. I find the character very interesting and with him having no powers he relies on true willpower and anger. Plus the villains are very well thought out albeit have been represented very campy sometimes.
Other recommendations and ones i like are the Marvel Zombies (its zombies), Walking Dead, Red Son (commie superman), Watchmen, Spawn and theres plenty others.

Re: Comics
The boys is awesome!!
I have the first few books of Ultimate Spiderman and I have just starting picking up the new Ultimate Comics: Spiderman (and Avengers for that matter) And they are really very very good!
I also read Punisher which is awesome cause...well it is punisher!
And for any looking for a jump on point, in November The writer from Ghost Rider comics, which are fucking incredible btw (Jason Arron) and the artist from Preacher are doing the Punisher MAX series and the numbering is going back to 1...so potentially a Punisher MAX relaunch but i can not fucking wait!!
What Batman would you say is best? I love The long Halloween and Killing Joke but i dont have any others!! Reccomendations people?
Kevin Smiths Batman comics arnt too bad either, they are more fun then say Moores etc... Widening Gyre has nice art and batman is still alive in it!

When I was but a young boy in primary school, I used to collect Sonic The Comic, it was the most wonderful thing in my life. But that was it really.

Re: Comics
I usally read graphic novels mainly because I liked to finish a story I don't like waiting to see what happens.
I usally read stuff by Alan Moore, Watchmen and From Hell are great. Most marvel heros and stories are good. Spawn is very good. And of course Batman. I read others from time to time.

Re: Comics
these days i dont read comic much more but i read alot of online manga scans of the usuals, bleach, one piece, naruto etc... when i was little i would spend alot of my saturdays going to the local library and sitting in the comic book sections hours on end. used to read spider man, superman, batman and judge dredd and various other graphic novels, as far as individual comics that came out every fortnight id read all the top cow shit, they had some awesome comics, my fav were witch blade and the darkness, though i lost all of them in the move to london.
