Can’t believe what’s been written. The writer, for the most part says it’s garbage comparing the band to Whitesnake and The Scorpions.
well, after reading it, it is only the one song that is compared to them, and it sounds like a slow one, although from the writing style, i wouldnt take any notice of what these plebs have to say anyway. mean, what sort of fucking review is this for a track??????
"‘Butcher’s Hook’
Awesome. I wonder if Slipknot know that this is cockney rhyming slang for take a look? It’s easy to imagine all the best butchers from history – Sweeny Todd, Leatherface, Arkan, the guy with the cleaver from Delicatessen, Pat, Frank, Ricky; all of them naked, with hard-ons dancing round a white tiled filleting room with blood and faeces dripping down the walls. “Ric-kay! Ric-kay! What’s goin’ on in there Ric-kay?!” “Uh, nuffin’ Bianca Lahv. I’ve just got some friends round.” "
what exactly does that tell anyone about the song itself???? wankers.
Slipknot are an odd band to catagorise, because while they are nowadays a nu-metal band, the first album was seriously heavy with some proper thrash riffs on it, and even though i will no doubt get stick for it on here, i loved the first album.
