Just had one of the best metal weekends ever. I did 3 gigs in 24 hours!!
9.30 on friday night i saw gama bomb and the labotomies at the pavillion bar in belfast, then straight in a taxi to the spring and airbrake in belfst for onslaught at 12pm, followed by a very sucessful attempt at drinking their rider (along with my missus and 4/5's of gama bomb). Then after 3 hours sleep, up and back to england where i saw benediction and bolt thrower last nite!!!

That sounds pretty extreme. I saw Judas Priest two nights in a row at Hammersmith which was epic, but I can't match 3 in 24 hours!

When I went to Maryland Death Fest in 2005, the venue got changed at the last minute to a place roughly about a 30 min drive on the freeway. I got a taxi down and went to the 1st day of the fest. T

he venue it's self was in the middle of nowhere just a massive building and a 4 lane motorway going in ethier direction. At the time I did'nt thing that this was a problem and just went off and saw the bands about midnight the fest was nearly finished for the day and I was getting tierd so decided to leave and get a cab back... or so I thought being on a Freeway there was no way a cab would pull up... So pissed and stoned out of my mind I walked about 15 miles back to Baltimore on the i-95, with all my holiday money,passports,merch in a city I had never been to in my life (Most stupid idea ever).

I finally got to the outskirts of Balitmore if you have watched The Wire you will know what a shithole the place is. Only to get stopped by two gangbanger homies, who thought I was a crack addict because I was a white dude walking around a ghetto at 3am in the morning. Luckly being extremely tired and ratty and the added bonus of being a brummie I scared them off with my accent.

I then walked another 30 mins to a carpark and managed to hail a taxi back to my hotel and collapsed on my bed. The irony was my friends from Impaled had only just checked into the hotel (they had flown in from Oakland about 40 mins ago) and actually drove past me in a rental thinking it was a little odd that a metalhead was walking up the i-95

I could go into the epic story of how the guitarist from Hour of Penance and myself get arrested in spain for a murder that happened in Madrid.
