being more of a punk band with thrash/hardcore elements i thought id wait and see which other band i could feature who would go well together on a more punk edged double feature.
at the heathen uprising all dayer at unicorn back in feb i got to check out some new bands.
i saw Flowers of Flesh and Blood for the first time and after seeing them perform at unicorn the other week again i felt they would go well together with STD for a double feature dvd.
both bands have a similar style and energy to them, and also share and express anarchic and politically fueled themes in their music.(for the better good in my opinion)
ukthrash lovelys Bastard Child aka Fred(of Nebukadnezza/Dead Existence),Jamie aka Resilience Records(of Doctor Death)and Chris Caps aka STD Caps all play in these bands.check out the links below...

anyway, after opinions/feedback on the Capital Punishment dvd ive decided to make some alterations this time round.
mainly the segments on the band will be 45mins max.the bonus features will be 10-15mins.this way the dvd will be 1hr45mins-2hours in total.
naturally with 2bands this time round, this will make the dvd shorter anyway.the formula will still be very similar ie:interviews mixed with gig clips.
1 less band makes communication a little easier and also its means a lot LESS burning time(which is a personal plus
)bonus stuff wont be as random this time(although it was funny and suitable for the first dvd).
this time round theres a different feel/theme so i think the bonus stuff will be quite different due to this.
due to the dvd being around 2hours(max)i can burn in the next higher picture quality.theres 4 qualities and due to running time the last dvd was on the lowest(which was still good enough).so this time the picture will be (fractionally) sharper.
due to spending a fair amount of money and time on the first dvd.this time the dvd will have to cost a massive 75p.
this will not profit me,it will be to cover and recoup the costs for materials ie:dvd boxes/dvdr's/sticky back paper/printing covers and cd-labels etc.
i will make 100 copies(hopefully less discs 'fail to burn' this time round)
10 will go to band members.and each band will receive 10-20 copies.
this will leave 50-70 available.
i can post some out like last time for £2.50 through paypal.
the release can be at the Matefest all dayer on 27th september(see gigs thread)since both bands are playing that day.
again forumers, can i have a show of support/hands up if youre interested in obtaining a copy so i can get a rough idea.thanks.
by the way a Virus project is also on the horizon(watch this space)
