I guess I can live with it seeing as my body is fucking wrecked anyway. I've got so many scars.

That's why I'll never get a band tattooed, unless MAYBE it was a dead band that can never change, like Pantera. And even then I'd have to think about it for a long time. See, the thing is, there's nothing to stop an awesome band like Slayer deciding that they're tired of metal and they want to pick up where Blink 182 left off. I know that's a bit of an extreme example, but the point stands, I don't wanna have a band tattooed on my body only for them to start sucking.

I think graphic references to bands are a much better idea - like Harris's Forbidden image. It doesn't say a band name, it's just a cool image that also has meaning to fans.

Another example would be the Motorhead war pig thing (I can't believe I've forgotten it's 'official' name)

there's nothing wrong with metallica tattoos. i love mine.

there's only two bands I'd get the name of as a tattoo. Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. I still don't plan either though.

At the moment, I'd only ever get a Pantera tattoo if I were to get a band tattoo, but we'll see what happens in the future. Maybe when Metallica split up I'll get a ninja star or something.

Yeah, ok, but then how many unique Metallica tattoos have you seen? All their logos have been tattooed to fuck. Same with the CFH logo. But If I were to get a Pantera tattoo, it'd be the picture of Vinne from the CFH album where he's holding a big sandwich...Or maybe just the sandwich. It's a good sandwich
