not what she said last night...

whhhhaaaatttt Kick Ass was brilliant. Wholly entertaining. Had awesome one-liners, great production and a brilliant performance from all of the cast. Nicky Cage was bloody great!

Makes you laugh, cry, tense up and in the end: puts you in a state of wonderful wonderment.

I saw Shutter Island while I was in Scotland, and thought it was fudding brilliant. And terrifying! Literally one of the most terrifying films I've ever seen. The bit in Ward C was amazing, and one of the most brilliantly directed sections of a Scorcese film ever. Actually one of the most terrifying bits was near the beginning was one DiCaprio walked past the scraggly old lady with the blue eyes. She was fucking scary! The twist was definitely not too surprising, but I didn't mind so much, it was still a good story, and I loved the way the whole film was made in a Hitchcock-style old fashioned joy - which is why I didn't it was a bit of an old fashioned twist. It just had a great feel, was amazingly directed, and was just sooo tense, it was almost a relief when the film was over! And also, I have to say, although he's been in some great films in his recent days, I've never seen DiCaprio act so well before, he's definitely gone up in my estimation of him as an actor after this film, his performance was amazing. Very very good indeed. And the music was incredible. Bloody incredible. Brilliant. Scorcese is a fucking genius!

Shutter Island is probably the best film I've seen this year, bloody loved it, yeah..

I wouldn't say it was the most terrifying I've ever seen, but tense, definitely. Especially when you think it might end with a horrific lobotomy.

Yes, the trailer looked great, "Dad's Army side to terrorism". Though where does Morris go next...who is left to be offended? haha

I haven't seen the trailer yet! I can't wait to see it though. Mr Morris has been missed by many!

Yes indeed Paulo, Shutter Island yes. When I say terrifying, I mean psychological madness and disturbing terror, rather than bits of stomach and leg and brain like Saw or Hostel. I find this kind of film so much more scary than stupid gore-porn films like those ones. Although the first Saw was good, I have to say.

I am going to watch Saturday Night Fever for the first time in the next day or so. My mum wants me to see it. I hope it's not shit.

Then I am going to watch Wings of Desire for the first time. I shall report back...

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"
