I thought I'd just say... I don't think Lev has really ever 'offended' me on here, in fact I am always quite suprised when people take what he says to heart because well... I've met Lev before and he couldn't have been nicer...

Bloody hell, I get into work at 9am and have to read through eight whole pages of this. My personal opinion on everything there is:

I do feel that it's become too much of an ego-playground lately. People here do need to get a grip and realise that there is a world outside of UKThrash, but also at the same time, it is a community and as such needs to be enjoyable for everyone, not just the "in crowd". It's generally always been the case (at least I thought) that if anyone has a problem with a particular user then they can PM, email or MSN either myself or James, and the whole thing can be dealt with privately, rather than opening this whole "I'm leaving" can of worms. In my eyes, people who ruin the forum and/or create friction for others should be punished in some way, but this needs to be discussed.

As for UKThrash in general, I do feel that we have something pretty special and unique here, the scene (and the site) has come a hell of a long way over the last three years. Think about it - when the site opened, Evile were unsigned, Metalbrew was in it's infancy and Jon Kushner wasn't in Damnas and Mutant. Things are moving along - the podcast, Toxic Tapes and Rik's DVD are prime examples - and I have some plans for some UKT shirts, flyers etc. when I have some spare cash to inject into the site in a month or so.

I really think that this whole issue isn't really one which should be public, and should be dealt with privately. If people can PM either myself or James with worthwhile opinions, reactions, comments etc then it would be appreciated.

Anyway this has gone on long enough, and maybe I was going off on one unnecessarily. The final thing I will say is it's different when it's a site me and Craig have developed over the last three years and basically visited every day. We may not have promoted it much yet but hopefully that will change, and the fact remains that we are bound to care if it seems the place is being spoilt by a minority. I know there are others who feel turned off by it too, but they seem to be sensibly staying out of it, so let's leave it there.
