Hails!
Sirocco have been quite busy as of late, taking promo photos in the frosty wilderness in January, followed by a trip to bpm studios in douglas, Cork, in February to begin work on our second full length "The March Through Crimson Frost", where drums, bass and rythm guitar work have been completed.
March saw us open for the U.K.'s Crowning Glory in Cork, complimented by a full page interview (first paper interview to date) with myself in the March 22nd issue of Cork's Evening Echo.
With the addition of our current bass player Ciaran O Cearuill on vocals in April, we have been busy rehearsing twice a week, and this past weekend, returned to the studio to lay down guitar solos and to begin work on vocals which, to my ear, sound absolutely phenomenal!
Artwork for this release will be fulfilled by Kris Verwimp, who has most recently worked on Waylander's "Honour Amongst Chaos", and we are looking forward to receiving the end result.
We will be debuting Mr. O Cearuill on vocals for the first time on June 22nd, as support for Germany's SuidAkrA, with an all ages show the following afternoon, and a Dublin show on June 24th.
The March Through Crimson Frost will be released on October 5th 2007, in an Cruiscin Lan, Cork, with the following dates confirmed to support it..
05-10-07, An Cruiscin Lan, Cork.
12-10-07, Voodoo Lounge, Dublin
13-10-07, Katy Daly's, Belfast.
19-10-07, The Zoo, Kilkenny.
Any promoters interested in holding a show for us in October or November are welcome to contact us at jim@siroccoband.com
Also, for anyone who has previously purchased our debut album "Nemed; An Tríu Creathán", you will find a password underneath the disc in the packaging. You can use this to log in to the members section of our site, http://www.siroccoband.com, where you will be able to download all 8 tracks from that cd, complete with vocals. They will also be available on October 5th.
Looking forward to seeing you all in October!

You cunts! He's my favourite metal artist!
Out of interest, how much does he charge roughly, for album art?

all depends on the amount of time it takes him really. I believe its roughly 300 euros for a front cover, which is insanely cheap for such a talented artist.
Woah, you guys are playing at a fuckin Zoo!!!!!
haha, good idea for some media attention. I can imagine setting up in a tigers den, fighting them off with the headstock of a bc rich
Its a bar in Kilkenny called the Zoo. Great underground venue in the centre of the town. Played there at the start of the year with For Ruin, great times
Any promoters that may happen to be reading this, please do get in touch about setting up shows for us, wherever the location! We're thirsty to get ourselves out of Ireland and play as much as fucking possible \m/
