Abbath is amazing, some of the stories i have been told by the guy who directed the mountain videos are brilliant

Listened to the whole album this morning. I'm not usually that much of a black metal fan and I think it's a pretty damn good. People heavily into black metal will probably think it's shit though as it's (IMO) more thrash than black metal. Plus it has decent production.

That last post just convinced me to get it.

I've always had a soft spot for Immortal (Oo-er), one of the few black metal bands that do anything for me.

Finally got round to ordering this! I hope it is grim and frostbitten.

Its a great album all the songs are amazing.

I've listened to this about six times today and whilst it's no where near their best offering it is also fucking brilliant.

The title track is a total stormer and totally sets up the album, the rest are very much in the same vein and do stamp Immortal over them in 12' bold lettering.

Easily their most accessible album, so if you've been put off before then you have no real excuse not to at least give it a try!
