I work in Waterstones now. Which means I've read every book.

Is it a good Waterstone's, i.e three stories and coffee bar place or is it a shitty one like the one near me?

i've just finished Crime and Punishment. I highly recommend it.

It's not as long as War and Peace, is it? Some prick bought that for me a couple of Christmases ago and I've not even attempted to read it. 1, 000+ pages? Nah.

For young zurab, read everything by Philip K Dickhead, he is sci-fi in my opinion, such incredible stuff.

Jonathan Coe is pretty genius (thanks Caps!) modern novely sort of stuff, an amazing style of writing.

erm... right now i'm reading Bob Frissell's "Nothing in this book is true, but it's exactly how things are". its the book that inspired Lateralus and many fucked up things, its totally out there and totally amazing! i'm probably going to read Richard Hogland's "monument on mars" next... its about ancient civilisations on mars, that are actually from 50,000 years in the future... and its all based on fact. yep. its out there maaaan.

books are great, i've just got rid of the tv in my room, so to force myself to read more. i don't want my mind to turn to drivel...

Yeah, bloody Philip K Dick is amazing. I've only read two of his books, but both were highly unbelievable and I want to read more. I'm still on 'We', my reading has slowed down since I've come back from holiday. But after this I'll do 'Island' by Mr Huxley the genius, and then I suppose I'll have to attempt Catch 22, since I bought it.

Yeah bloody hell Jamie, I didn't know that book inspired Lateralus. I'll definitely have to nick that off you when you've finished it please, it sounds lovely. You can borrow The Man In The High Castle off me in return, you need to know how amazing it is!
