My main recommendation is that you don't listen to Death Metal at all.

Exactly, how patronising do you want to be?

Personally, I'm not a modern DM man. Dismember, Entombed and Vomitory have very traditional roots. The new Rotten Sound, while largely grind, is a very impressive effort.

Ultimately, wait for the new Cryptopsy album is my logic.

Correct, that's why I asked for suggestions about new stuff. I've not really followed dm that closely in the last few years and just wanted a catch-up. Thanks for all the suggestions thus far! Keep 'em coming.

Lost Soul from Poland are probably worth a listen!!!

Not got any albums, just some odd tracks, Mortal Cage is my fave, fucking insane track!!!
