Any chance you could bang that up on the web somewhere ? I'd like to hear it, especially the live tracks. Cheers !

I would be happy to but, sad to say, I don't have the facility here to transfer the vinyl to my PC.

Sledgehammer?

I don't get it though, how would you accidently sign a UK band instead of the US band?

There was another English band knocking round at the same time with the same name. Legend has it the label wanted to sign them, but whoever did the signings got the wrong band. The band used to have a web page up about it but I can't find the damn thing now.

Here's an old Slammer video, by the way ... from a Bradford TV show in 1988 ...

Well, it nearly happened at last year's Wacken Festival. The organisers wanted Cynic to play, and were in negotiations with the reformed NWOBHM Cynic, instead of the Floridan Death Metal band. Now, that is pretty dumb!

It does sound like a legend, proliforated by this other Slammer. I can't say I had ever heard of them, and the one that got signed had been around a couple of years and had two demos out. It would make more sense to sign the better known Slammer. Then again, since when have major labels had any sense

Didn't Defiance come around kind of late?

Atomkraft are findable on myspace if you've heard nothing. Been wanting to get the Hydravein albums for yonks but not sure if the re-issue ever came about.

I'm pretty sure it's Defiance that Propaghandi have a song about on their latest album. I might well be wrong.

Infernal Majesty are another band that I've been meaning to check out ever since I was moving beyond the obvious of thrash. Any good?
