yeah the biggest problem with most people is they get greedy on their first time and try too much of whatever. I like to experiment with drugs but I'm a moderation kinda guy. If there is an event/gig/reason for doing something I'm all game but just getting fucked day after day doesn't appeal to me.

So far I have drank alcohol(duh), smoked various forms of weed and thoroughly enjoy it, snorted and bombed MDMA (good times), done mushrooms(long time ago and I don't remember much of it I was fucked before I took em, taken the odd pill(I don't trust pills but the good ones are fun) and done a bit of coke.

I dare say I will experiment with more too but I think that its really down to each person to find what their comfortable with, I would never take something because some one else pressured me.

I never go near drugs, not even weed.

IMO, druggies are the absolute scum of the earth and I tend to avoid anyone who does drugs. This may seem more than slightly hypocritical of me because I basically treat alcohol like a drug, but it's at least confined to me. Part of the reason I've never been able to do drugs, apart from the fact that they do nothing for me than alcohol doesn't, is the fact that druggies invariably group together and 'hang out' like tossers. It was just the in-thing at school to go to the skate park, 'hang out' and smoke pot. The fact that these same people were arseholes that couldn't get into pubs and so had to resort to soft drugs has probably turned me off ever doing them.

Yeah, I find "druggies" (at best) dull, at worst pathetic. I'm happy to hear "hands started coming out of the wall" stories, but mostly they just seem to have epic conversations about prices and favourite skins while down and sit around in silence / rambling pointlessly when high. Me, I have bad enough insomnia-induced hallucinations and booze is all I need for a great evening. I think I'd be more up for experimentation if the methods of taking drugs weren't so off-putting; doing pills would be ok, but I suspect I'd just act like a twat and wouldn't want to wish that on anyone.

God, that was something I should have added. The number of pricks you would hear coming out with stories about how high they were was fucking irritating to say the least. My standard comeback back then was 'Yeah?! Well all I had was Stella and I broke into someone's flat, started pissing in the hallway and then got chased out by a lassie wielding a tea-towel!'.

I've never tried Morning Glory seeds but I have tried Hawaiian baby woodrose, which also contains LSA.

One of the coolest experiences of my life, I just layed on the grass and stared at the sky for about 4 hours and saw some of the coolest shit ever.

When I got home in the evening I was still tripping and I remember when going to the kitchen to get some snacks (My whole family was in the kitchen at this point) my pupils were still huge, I could barely stand up properly and I felt like a giant for some reason.

I don't really smoke weed anymore, mainly because I can't be bothered trying to get hold of it, I found this stuff called Spice Gold that's totally legal and is pretty much just like weed, so we just seem to smoke that these days.

Yeah i have heard of spice, i do have to say agree a bit with scotch. I am not a fan of drug culture, for me it is just something i do on occasion because i find normal life so boring.

That and weed is very good at stress relief for me as it just makes me sleep.

Morning Glory seeds are good, make you sick as a dog though for a bit...

Not that I want to get into an argument about it or convince you to do drugs Iain but alot of what you said applies to alot of drinkers too. This is why my view is that do what you enjoy best but be open to other ideas. I used to drink a hell of alot but these days I never seem to enjoy it in the same way so I don't drink as much. Although at present I'm not doing much of anything partly due to lack of funds mind you.

Surely if you commit yourself to alcohol alone you can't really move on from there. The vast majority of drug-users I know have at least dabbled with stronger shit having been used to soft drugs.

Besides, I really my chances of remaining a heavy drinker coming to an end once I'm done with Uni. Not only will I not have the opportunity to be so pissed all the time, but I kind of want to start doing things other than getting pissed, from time-to-time anyway.

Surely people moving on from beer to something like vodka, whisky, absinthe etc... Is comparable to people taking 'softer' drugs and then experimenting with 'stronger' drugs?

Drugs are great. Wankers who can't handle them are the problem.

Ive never wanted to take drugs. Alcahol does enough for me.

As for the softer drugs like Weed, i wouldnt bother. Never been into smoking aswell, thats just fucking stupid and tastes horrid.
