What I find interesting is that the people that don't like it can't just say "it's not funny" they have to exclaim how hideously unfunny it is while always pointing out how it's not offensive to them.

I found some of them quite and harsh and, thereb, amusing. Some were funny, I didn't think it was shit. I like the way it starts off potentially all very nice and then just ends up all fucked up.

He's got a point though. You said "if it's meant to shock, it fails. If it's meant to offend, it fails." We're talking about a comic which features shit-stabbing, holocaust jokes and rape a-plenty. There's obviously NO question whether it's meant to shock or offend, you're just phrasing it that way because you want to give us the impression that it had no effect on you. Like you're too cool to enjoy a good rape joke. :roll:
