It would sound better if you got some drum loops going on there.
There's a cool online metronome you can mess with to get your timing better.
http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/metronome.php
Set the time to 2/4 and set the top instrument to number 5, and the bottom one to number 7 or 8. It sounds shit, but you can get your timing better and it doesn't sound as shit as a standard clicky metronome.
I think I'll get a camera and upload some of my riffs.
Edit:
Fucks, I always post my reply AFTER the conversation has ended!!!
Damn you UK Thrashers with your "being awake at normal times-ness"...

Any comments would be nice-I know the timing's shit yadayada but any thoughts on rhe riffs?
http://www.realtab.co.uk
that will give you a tab program with real samples that works like powertab..
also has a drum kit and a metronome, basic to use and free... would also make those riffs sound much sweeter with a backing track

I've downloaded it, but the tempo doesn't seem too get any faster than quick downpicking speed-nowhere near what I need!

Where do you change the tempo? Cuz I'm using the box near the top right (ish) of the screen which has numbers going up to 2.00.

nah
on the left hand side, about 2/3rds or 3/4s down... a little tempo marker (note symbol with an = after it)
hope that helps
also, if you encounter any bugs, tell pez!
