It's hard to say what you'll like.Kreator are the only proper thrash band on the bill.
Personally I'm looking forward to 1349,(fast brutal norwegian black metal),Kataklysm and Aborted(death metal) and Orange Goblin(proper british METAL) I'll try and see a lot of the other bands as well, but I'll be in the bar when fucking Amen are on,wankers.
My myspace has links to most of the above bands, and the Damnation myspace as well.

Amen to that...

Despite this being really easy to go to (although I'd have to go home that weekend), I decided it wasn't really worth it. I'd only really go for Kreator and Orange Goblin, and I'm not too big on forking out 22 quid at this point.

Plus I saw Kreator earlier in the year.

But have a ruddy good time whoever is going.

Is it me or is the standard of puns on this forum dropping? That last one wasn't even slightly punny at all really. And this one is even worse.

you need to see Orange Goblin live... they are fucking awesome. get drunk and go nuts. seriously. plus, girls like them, which is unheard of in Metal!! =D>

actually Amen are a good band live, at least they were a few years back.

again, I think this is definately a get hammered and have a good time fest. aside from 1349 and probably Kreator (who i also saw recently) the other bands will all be new to me so if anything's good i'll be happy.

oh and Anaal Nathrakh. fucking intense!!!

Ted Maul = Ace.
Soulfracture = young thrash band from Leeds. Pretty ace.
Lazarus Blackstar = superslowsludge from Bradford. Crushingly heavy. Maybe too slow for you.

I know all them lot. If I cant get a freeby for this one there's something badly wrong.

Indeed! The other bands I want to catch are Aborted and possibly 1349 - I missed them when they cancelled the support slot for Zyklon last year, so I am hoping to check them out this time.

It's not so much that Amen arent good live, its more that they were dead and buried five years ago, and their frontman is an egotistical prick. I saw these guys in Wolverhampton in about 2002 and the place was just full of kids - with lots of parents waiting outside at the end, bless em. This band just seems well out of place on this lineup.

I would have loved to see Aborted a few years back, but their last too albums have been rubbish :(
This lineup is a weird one, half killer with the likes of Kreator and half crap (stuff like Panic Cell, Amen, Raging Speedhorn etc).
I killed Reanimator.

I'll be spending most of the day at the Terrorizer stage, will be seeing Soulfracture, Ted Maul, Man Must Die, 1349, Aborted and Kataklysm then jumping to the Jager stage for KREATOR!

It seems Narcosis have split up therefore have dropped out, wonder who'll be replacing them?
