My list of favourite films would probably take up ten pages so add your suggestions and take it as read that I like them (unless you liked Catwoman, King Arthur, Mr & Mrs Smith or Oceans 12)

Jaws
A Clockwork Orange
Airplane
Anchorman
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead
Monty Python (all)
The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Star Wars (all)

Die Hard (all - can't wait for the fourth)
Indiana Jones trilogy
Back to the future trilogy
Alien Quadrilogy
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Halloween
The Devil's Rejects
The Wicker Man (NOT the unbelievably wank remake)
The Fog (see above)
The Hills Have Eyes (both versions)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (all of them apart from part 4)
Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2 (not seen 3 yet)
Full Metal Jacket
Mad Max (1 & 2)
The Terminator (1 & 2)
Dawn of the Dead (both versions)
Day of the Dead

Yes you bloody did!

There are just too many fucking good films in the world.

Hell yes to The Thing by the way, in my younger days that would make me question if my friends where really my friends or if they were waiting to corner me and burst testicles out of their arses.

I really am not seeing why term 2 is everyone's favourite, the character lost so much in the second one imo. Plus you have to watch the special edition to even make sense of half the things that he ends up doing. Terminators should be emotionless, remorseless and un-fucking stoppable. None of this "I know now why you cry" bullshit!

Oh and the Japs were vindictive cunts during ww2. Not quite the slobbering monsters they were painted to be in "that" movie. But still enough to be labelled complete arseholes.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Yes indeed, so do I! I think the 3rd one's quite underrated. It's obviously not as good as the first 2, so I can understand how it's a bit overshadowed, but it's still a good film. Get's a bit boring in places maybe, but that ending more than makes up for it. The first time I watched it, even though I knew it was going to happen (my friend had shown me the ending many years before and just as I got to the end I suddenly remembered seeing it!), it was still madness for my face, good lord.

Which leads me on to another debate.... Pacino or De Niro?

HOLY SHIT, How could I forget the Naked Gun Trilogy! Easily my favourite comedy trilogy of all time.

I think it's because Terminator 1 was amazing, but by the time Terminator 2 was out, I'd already watched number 1 about a thousand times.

Number 2 is more action packed, and it has a mini-gun! You can't argue with mini-guns. Those bad boys have the power to make a shitty film into something amazing... Imagine if Anaconda had Mini-guns in it. That would turn a completely wank film into one of the greatest films of all time!!!

Put simply, this is the reason that Terminator 2 (and Predator) is the greatest film of all time:

Yes but Predator had Jessie "The Body" Ventura using a minigun to kill people not too loosely pepper the area with bullets. Term 2 took the T-800 and turned him into a "Slack jawed faggot".

To me it just fails to live up to the first. The only real positive in that film was Robert Patrick.

On a different note, I watched The Departed again last night, and it was indeed as bloody great as I remembered. So bloody intense and amazing, and DiCaprio actually being good, surprisingly enough. Jack Nicholson's the fucking man though. Well done Mr Scorcese. I didn't like The Aviator or Gangs of New York too much (though Daniel Day Lewis was great in that film and I did like it at first, it took me a while to realise it was silly). So this is a great return to form indeed.

 Me too, or at least I used to. When I went interrailing round Europe with my friend, there were many points during our walking trips where we ran out of conversation so we just started reciting hilarious film quotes. That was one of my favourite ones, along with the immortal line:

"Let off some steam, Bennet."
