Let's have a Sepultura thread.

I recently got Morbid Visions. Why the FUCK did I not get this sooner? WHY? By the way I don't really download music, so I mean on CD.

This is easily now my favourite Sepultura album. Easily. I've been listening to it non-stop.

I mean, Schizophrenia is great, but they seemed to settle into more of a typica (albeit great) thrash sound - on Morbid Visions, it's just like...pure HELL! I don't think they ever recaptured that evil, sick sound. For me they do it better than bands like Possessed as well, but that might just be me preferring the production.

As for Beneath the Remains - yeah yeah, always cited as a megalithic thrash album, and I'm not about to disagree, but I think both Morbid Visions and Schizophrenia are more exciting albums.

Incidentally, can anyone think of a band who have suffered more of a complete musical death than Sepultura? Not even Metallica come close.

Same with Slayer, first stuff I heard was Diablos and GHUA.... what a load of shit!!! then like 2 years later I heard Raining Blood, changed my opinion quite a bit!!! :P

GHUA is brilliant
Ok 2 slow average songs on their

But (#13)PAYBACK (#2) DISCIPLE (#3) GOD SEND DEATH and (#7) EXILE are far overlooked because of Bloodline

Seriously dude - go listen to them tracks again and see what you think

Sepultura Morbid visions was the first metal album i ever bought ever! i got it on cassette and i still have it but i have it on cd if i ever want to listen to it instead of riskin it gettin chewed up. i loved it! it got me into metal for the energy and rawness which is probably what lead to me loving underground metal shows. when i started listening to metal it was all about having raw meterial in your collection and if you didnt have a bands raw music you were a wanker, not a fan! im a Sep fan and iv loved most of then max stuff but not everythin tho the stuff i didnt like didnt change my opinion of the stuff i like.

Max lyrics were also what got me looking at was really going on in the world which got me into a lot of left wing bands
