Going back to DOD for a minute...

Does anybody else love the song Journeyman? One of the most underrated Maiden songs ever in my opinion. Great finish to an album and a fantastic song when played live.
I don't know if it was actually meant (having not seen it mentioned in any reviews or interviews anywhere) but the accompanying light show to the song on the DOD tour was incredible and (I think, anyway) served to highlight the band's progression from pub band to arena status.
As the song started, the lighting rig was situated just above their heads with only amber lighting and a bit of smoke, which I thought immediately was meant to look as much like an old eastend pub as possible, before slowly rising and adding more colours before finally raising completely back into the roof and having the full on light show.
Maiden's life story in lights? I may be completely wrong but that's what it looked like to me.

It's a good idea actually, I never thought of it in that way. That was a brilliant song live. As I said earlier, the chorus kind of annoys me a bit and I do think it was a bit of a wasted opportunity, they could've done more with a song of that kind, but for what it is, it is a lovely song, and one of the best ones off that album.
