I think Municipal Waste have shown that there is something in all this 'nostalgia' malarkey. However, I d like some of the new styles acts, Heretic, Descent and Sekhmet all come to mind in the UK scene. By the by, what do the Heretic lads think of Sekhmet? I imagine that's the sort of thing they expect from thrash these days. Nice...

I do find Sekhmet more original, but like martin the vocal style doesnt turn me on very much anymore. There needs to be some more earthy, harsh sounding shouting. Tom Arayas voice, Max Cavelera's voice and even Dave Mustaines voices were distinct and definately not 'put on'. I can't get onboard with Evile say, because the singer, as good a guy as he is, is putting on this butch american almost Trivium persona. And we all HATE TRIVIUM!

We do indeed all hate Trivum, good show.
On another note, what the fuck? This band SSS is completely lame. Why have them get signed and not like, you know, a good band instead? Not like there aren't any decent thrash bands out there in the UK.

Yeah its nice to see Heretic putting down the best two bands in the UK thrash scene and comparing Evile to Trivium.

To be fair, Evile guy sounds nothing like the much-hated Matt Heafy, in voice or persona or anything. Evile is a fucking solid band, I think they deserved their earache deal for sure.
This SSS band... not so much

Man SSS are totally fucking awsome!!!
They are one of my favourite of the UKThrash bands. Completely raw and to the point, everything about them is just great, even down to their artwork and vinyl releases! i don't understand how you can't dig them?!
lovely coments from Hereshgayitic. good to see!

Welcome to my world. Jamie's just a big bloody bully. He always bullies me.
And now he'll probably come back with something witty and biting like "I get raped by Jon everyday." Yeah, in your dreams maybe. Imagine if I said something witty and biting about you like... but I don't. Because professionlism is... and that is what I want. That's a shame...
(Again, sorry James. But I felt it was appropriate)

On a more related note, I forgot to say I haven't heard much SSS. Well, I haven't heard any. Jamie or Caps, how about showing me some when I'm back home.
