I finally got round to getting the new Def Leppard album. It's fucking great. It's like Zeppelin II except good.

Def Leppard have never reached the level of gimmickry associated with Kiss. It's hard to liken Def Leppard to another band: whilst they haven't really put out anything brilliant since 1992 they're still fucking brilliant live. I would say they are the new Rolling Stones [guitarist dead at their peak and so on] but the Stones are awful live.

Besides, Def Leppard, along with Sean Bean, give hope to an otherwise lost cause, i.e. Sheffield.
