It actually looks like it might be good... read the Empire review! http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/rev ... ?FID=10354

Obviously it won't touch the first two, but it sounds like it'll shit all over T3 (which admittedly wouldn't be hard to achieve). But seriously, I think Christian Bale may have actually brought some credibility back into the series. I'm getting quite excited, I loved the last trailer (with the NIN song over it) and I'm definitely going to see it. Quite a turn around really considering when it was first announced I was full of hate and anti-joy and was ready to declare this film absolute shit.... but from what I've read and seen, I shall definitely give it a chance.

PS. 12A ratings didn't stop Lord of the Rings from being amazing, so I don't think that'll matter as long as the story and the acting is good and believable in James Cameron's world! Which is definitely what T3 wasn't.

Excellent, very good to hear! I shall be going to see it soon hopefully!

I just got The Wrestler on DVD, it's out on Monday but hmv.co.uk kindly posted it to me early. Just finished watching it, it's such a fucking good film, although I do feel like I want to cry very much now.

I liked it, it would've been too obvious if he'd have died or something like that, and probably much more cheesy, I thought it was nice that it ended in a way that sort of left it up to the audience to decide. I also think it's quite cool because it sort of suggests that whether he died or not is irrelevant, it's the fact that he's chosen his path that matters. Maybe. And the look on Randy's face before he jumps off is so amazing, what a brilliant expression of emotional glory.

So I went and bloody saw Terminator tonight. Yes, it was good, much better than T3, and with a very enjoyable final fight scene, that bit with the T-800 at the end was actually amazing, but... well, it just seemed to have a lot of unanswered questions and plot-holes, and a few too many cheesy moments (the ending was RUBBISH in typical Hollywood fashion). There were some great ideas that didn't seem to get followed through, like the fact (POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!) that John Connor knew nothing about the kind of Terminator Marcus was, what the machines were doing with all those human prisoners, and that Kyle never found out who he was - it was like the film created all these build-ups and then forgot about them, and just tacked on a cheesy cliffhanger ending, which was rubbish. And bloody hell, there really was no need to include the 'catchphrases' in the film! It just really cheapened it. But still, I think they did a pretty good job, I did enjoy watching it a lot, and hopefully the next one will be better and have more actual story in it!

I do wish though that these film makers would stop making bloody trilogies all the time, and just make one long good film with an entire story in it. Is it too much to bloody ask?

I saw Terminator yesterday and really didn't enjoy it that much, in fact i found the whole thing very boring. The main thing is that it wasn't a Terminator movie, everything that made Terminator ...well Terminator wasnt there. this was in actuality an action movie stamped with the Terminator brand. Christian Bale continues to not be able to act and it got to a point where if he did his bloody batman voice once more in normal conversation i felt like i was going to die.

It was just explosion after explosion and at no point did i feel like the resistance were ever in any real danger. Remeber T1 when they are attacking the kill death machine thing, they attack it with grenades and then drive off in that crappy burnt out car with a machine gun attatched....this time they have all of these amazing planes and weaponry....bit stange. I guess in my mind i expected the war against the machines would be played out very very differently. I was expecting them to leave some of the thriller/hunt aspects in ...but they didnt. Best part was the fight with the T-800 at the end, the only time i felt like they were in any danger

Oh and the cameo was fucking amazing!!!

Oh and also no character development at all...wtf... basically a 2 hour long cgi explosion extravaganza, not what i was hoping for, atleast they changed the ending away from the original leaked ending eh!?

I'm taking my girlfriend to see 'Drag Me To Hell' in a bit. I've read good reviews - the best, so far, coming from Lyall: "Mate. just watched drag me to hell... Fuck my life... Shit."

What was the leaked ending supposed to be? The actual ending I thought was rubbish, it was so cheesy! I thought it was good though that it was different to a usual Terminator movie, if they tried to do the same thing it would've been shit like T3. I think it was a nice idea to try and make this a war movie rather than just another Terminator sequel, but I admit they definitely could've done that a lot better. Basically, as far as I knew the idea behind this film was that the future was supposed to have changed (John Connor says "This isn't the future my mother told me about" in the trailer, although it's not in the actual film), but that was just one of the many plot holes that they didn't expand on, which was the main thing that annoyed me about this film. The same thing when Connor finds out about Marcus, he goes on about how he's never heard about that kind of terminator before, but then that's quickly forgotten about as the film gets on with all the action. I must say though, I think Christian Bale is a great actor! This definitely wasn't his best performance (that award goes to The Machinist, which is an amazing film), but I think he's good indeed. His Batman voice is definitely hilarious though. I love it.

The lighting was good though, wasn't it, eh?

The leaked ending is:
Basically John is dying at the end of the film, (which was kept the same) and insted of Marcus giving him his heart (which i must add would be fucked up anyway after T800 kicked his ass and killed him in the plant before John powered up his body again),

anyway john DIED, and they decided that they want to keep spirit of John conner alive, so they basically take Marcus personality and body away from that cyborg and replace it with johns, this would then mean in the grand scheme of things that a machine had sent back kyle in time and all sorts of weird, series continuity destroying things.

[/color]
People hated it so they changed it lol.

God I'm glad they didn@t use the leaked ending. I found the film to be decidedly ... Meh...

Yes it had some good action and the T-800 fight was quite cool but it just seemed to sag when it wasn't busy blowing your eyes and ears off. I think people of already said most of what I think, I was definitely expecting more of a struggle against the machines, in some ways it seemed quite easy for the resistance. All in all an enjoyable film but still a let down.
