If anyone wants the OST and Score of the original movie.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I don't think any band could pull that off as good as NRG. The scream he does at the end is awesome.

What a fucking amazing soundtrack. 100% drunken "I'm in the house alone time to go fucking crazy" music.

I just hope this new film isn't gonna be as bad as that awful Die hard 4 shit. (I refuse to call it 4.0)

You're wrong, and we should be pleased that we got "Die Hard 4.0" over "Live Free or Die Hard" like the americans did.

Aye that is fairly impossible, NRG do it perfectly.

BAH!

I derive you all until, like me, you have the Complete Generation 1 Boxset!

Not seen the new film yet, nor Die Hard 4.0 either, because I'm just back from Greece.

BTW, was it Doug Aldrich (now of Dio and Whitesnake fame) that played guitar for Lion on the The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack?

Fucking cracking guitarist!

I have "copies" of the gen 1 boxset, though the movie far out shadows the series in my opinion.

I don't like the movie too much now that I've seen the original series because it really destroyed what little credibility the series had left as a cartoon that was more more than just a launchpad for the toys. I mean, the number of good characters from the original cast that survived the film is negligible and pretty much set the tone for the third series when they were throwing in new characters left, right and centre with little, if any introduction.

Still, as a standalone film I think the movie is pretty good nonetheless. The battle sequence at the beginning far outshines 90% of the crap CQ battle scenes I've in other sci fi war flicks.

Yeah even now i am still pissed about so many good characters being killed, Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack (Who i didn't realise snuffed it till i watched the special edition). To be fair the whole show only existed as a launchpad for the toys, but as you said pre-movie it wasn't as blatantly obvious.

The movie is still better though, the action is just so much more convincing imo.

I suppose so. There are some God-awful episodes from the first two seasons, mainly the ones involving humans.

I was more pissed off with the Decepticon casualties: Skywarp, Starscream, Thundercracker as well as Megatron were three of the five or so main Decepticons throughout the first series. There were so many Autobots more worthy of untimely deaths than Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack too - Bumblebee, Seaspray (*shudders*) and Tracks for example.

Yeah i have never got people apparent like for Bumblebee he is total shit. He has only redeemed himself in this movie by being a Camero. Even if it is the new one.

The Decepticon replacements were all rather gay, with the exception of Galvatron. Though he mainly made his impression on me through the TF comics, naimly Target 2006. Still Megatron is obviously the best.

seen most of the new movie on copy today, seems good to me, yeah its different but you couldn't recreate the classic g1 transformers without making a ridiculous and shitty movie, i like what they've done on the new one, and although the characters look different they're personalities remain.

The original movie was awesome for the action and i loved it but the amount of deaths to make way for new season 3 characters sucked a little!

all in all transformers fucking rule, especially G1
